Dr. Dennis is a Minded co-founder, board-certified psychiatrist, and telehealth evangelist based in Miami, Florida. He has held progressive clinical, operational, and leadership roles in health systems, managed behavioral healthcare, startups and telehealth. Licensed in 35 states and counting, he is the Chief Behavioral Health Officer for Landmark Health, overseeing a nationwide mental health workforce focused on collaborative, integrated care for chronic complex patients. Prior to joining Landmark, he served as Chief Medical Officer, Commercial Division and SVP, Regional Medical Director at ValueOptions, then the country’s largest managed behavioral healthcare company, ultimately acquired by Aetna. Clinically, Dr. Dennis has run an inner city Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program and was an attending emergency psychiatrist at Northwell Health in New York. Additionally, Dr. Dennis maintains a multi-state telepsychiatry practice. Dr. Dennis has served on the board of The College for Behavioral Health Leadership. He serves on the Florida Psychiatric Association Telehealth Committee and has also participated on the NCQA Standards Committee, chaired its MBHO Advisory Committee and is active in its Behavioral Health Measurement Advisory Panel. Dr. Dennis graduated from Boston College, earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George’s University and completed an MBA through the Zicklin School of Business (cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa). He is an Associate Professor at SGU’s School of Management. Board-certified in Psychiatry, he is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
