Minded is available to people 18 and over in the states where we operate who have (or think they may have) anxiety, depression, or insomnia, and are interested in medication as part of their treatment. Our Care Team can prescribe both controlled and non-controlled substances at their discretion (and depending on age and location).
Minded is not a good fit for people looking for treatment for:
Minded is not for individuals in crisis. If you are experiencing an emotional crisis, or if you believe that you are a danger to yourself or to others, get help immediately:
If you are taking a psychotropic medication that is not in our formulary, our Care Team will discuss with you what options are available and if Minded is a good fit. There are medications we do not currently prescribe and will require you to continue to see another medical professional.
No. Minded's mental health experts can evaluate symptoms of depression, anxiety, and insomnia to diagnose conditions and develop an appropriate treatment plan whether you're new to medication or already taking it. Proof of prior prescription for controlled medication is, however, required.
Our Care Team can evaluate patients for treatment with a controlled medication only for individuals with proof of prior controlled medication in their state Prescription Monitoring Program. With proof of prior prescription, our Care Team can prescribe controlled medications, based on Minded protocols, provider clinical judgement, and your location.
Read more about Minded's responsible approach to prescribing controlled medications here.
Note: We do not prescribe controlled medications in every state where we operate. We do not prescribe schedule II medications (things like Ritalin®, Adderall®, and medications with methlyphenidate or amphetamine in their name). Please ask our team if you have questions about what we prescribe in your location.
While telehealth visits with Minded may be an option for your psychiatric needs, they are not a replacement for your primary care provider. We recommend all patients seek and maintain general in-person health and wellness visits.
Minded does not offer talk therapy, non-psychiatric medications, in-person services, or medication disposal.

Minded offers two options for getting your medication: We can send your prescription to the physical or online (i.e., Capsule or Amazon) pharmacy of your choice. If you select this option, the price of your medication will be $8 per medication per month, billed separately from your $65 monthly membership fee. Note: Minded cannot deliver controlled medications.
