FAQs
Minded is available to people 18 and over in the states where we operate. We treat a full spectrum of mental health conditions and can prescribe a wide range of mental health medications.
Our psychiatry providers can evaluate patients for treatment with a controlled medication only for individuals with proof of prior controlled medication in their state Prescription Monitoring Program. With proof of prior prescription, our care team can prescribe controlled medications, based on Minded protocols, provider clinical judgement, and your location. Note: We do not prescribe controlled medications in every state where we operate. We do not prescribe schedule II medications (things like Ritalin®, Adderall®, and medications with methlyphenidate or amphetamine in their name). Please ask our team if you have questions about what we prescribe in your location.
Minded is not a good fit for some people who need a higher level of care, e.g. those that are in an acute crisis, actively suicidal, or need to be hospitalized. If you are experiencing an emotional crisis, or if you believe that you are a danger to yourself or to others, get help immediately: Call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. Call the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 988 to speak with a live counselor 24 hours a day. Text the Crisis Text Line by sending ‘HOME’ to 741-741 to connect to a counselor immediately.
Due to the end of the Public Health Emergency, as of February 6, 2023, Minded no longer prescribes any controlled medications, including
- Stimulants, including Adderall® and Ritalin®
- Benzodiazepines, including Xanax®, Klonopin® and Ativan®
- Some sleep medications, including Ambien®, Lunesta®, and Belsomra®
